Pirates Code - The Adventure of Mickey Matson - Review and Giveaway

Released on DVD June 2, 2015
91 Minutes // Genre: Adventure // Rating:  NR

The second movie in the series, Mickey Matson is back at it again in this adventure on the high seas.  If you were a fan of the first movie, Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, then this movie will not disappoint.  If you're not familiar with the series but are instead familiar with the Spy Kids series, you will like this movie.  Knowing it comes from the makers of great faith-based movies such as God’s Not Dead and Finding Normal, Pure Flix Entertainment, should put your mind at ease that you are in for some wonderful family friendly entertainment.
About Pirates's Code The Adventures of Mickey Matson:
In this follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, Mickey Matson is at it again; this time pitted against the evil Admiral Ironsides and his gang of pirates who are intent on destroying civilization.  They're new invetnion, the Tesla Coil, is a weapon of mass destruction that will send an electromagnetic pulse throughout the world, destroying every electronic device in existence.  With the help of a secret organization, Mickey and his best friend Sully embark on a mission to stop the pirates from taking over a submarine and stealing the last part needed to complete their devastating weapon.  If Admiral Ironsides succeeds in his plan, civilization will be sent back to the Stone Age.  It's a race against time, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

My son isn't much for watching TV, however, I could not believe it when he sat on the couch to watch this in it's entirety.  Alyssa, who's in that "I'm a teenager and I'm too cool to watch anything my little siblings or my parents like"  also sat and watched this from start to finish.  Even my husband and I, who normally would seek out movies a bit older than this, enjoyed it completely.  I mean, how can you resist a movie with Christopher Lloyd and "Back to the Future" references?
However, don't just take my word for it. FlyBy Promotions recently sent me this movie to review on my blog so we could enjoy it but the wonderful news is that they are giving me a second DVD to give out to one of the readers of my blog.  This is a great chance to add a wonderful family movie that your kids will love to your home library. :)
