Fireworks ( Wordless Wednesday)

When Charles and I got married ten years ago, we opted to do so on the beach on the 4th of July.  I often joke that we picked this day because if he ever forgot our anniversary, he would see fireworks. Truth is, it turned out to be a very awesome day to get married  - every year we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence with our country and our country celebrates our marriage with us.

Each year, the family heads over to FreedomFest, an event that the base puts on that has food vendors, live music, a few carnival rides for the kids and usually a water slide.  This year, it was way too hot to head over before the sun went down, but we still showed up to see the event's grande finale, the fireworks.
