Top 10 Posts of 2015

How very special are we For just a moment to be
Part of life's eternal rhyme
How very special are we To have on our family tree
Mother Earth and Father Time

For some reason, when the new calendar starts, I always think of the song above from Charlotte's Web.   I'm sure it's from the whole Father Time and Baby New Year but I still can't help but hear Debbie Reynold's voice singing the above lyrics.

Anyway...

This is the first year I get the pleasure of making a "Best Of" post!!!  In 2014, this blog was more of a diary for me and as such, I was basically the only visitor. However, I have been so blessed to watch this blog grow more and more each day and so I actually have a Top 10 for 2015.

So, here they are.. In descending order.. These are the Top 10 posts that you, my readers, have visited the most over the course of 2015.  Were any of these your favorites? If so, let me know in the comments below.

10.)  But He Won't Sit Still!!!! (Homeschooling Through Special Needs)

For Day 3 of the Back to Homeschool blog hop, I addressed some of the techniques that I use in trying to get my special needs son to sit still long enough to learn.

9.)  A Night at the Museum

Maybe it was the controversial banner but my public school daughter's "Night At The Museum" was very popular with readers.  I'm looking forward to this event coming again soon and will of course blog it again.

For Day 2 of the Real Life Homeschooling Blog Hop, I allowed readers an opportunity to see just how disorganized our homeschool was.  Many of you were able to relate.

One of my earlier posts told why comparing our students or trying to meet a list of benchmarks won't work.

For Day 1 of the Back To Homeschool Blog Hop, this was a list of five things NOT to do when heading back to Homeschool.

It was Day 1 of the Real Life Homeschooling and I indeed got real with you guys. I gave readers a glimpse into a typical day for our school.  Many of you were able to related and felt that you could have written the same thing.

heartcalls

Giveaways were popular with my readers this year and while I didn't do many of them, the ones I did ranked pretty high.  Hearties flooded the page in hopes of winning the complete Season 1 DVD set of When Calls the Heart as well as looking for some spoilers for the Season 2 Premiere.

Another giveaway, this time for a DVD of Pirate's Code - The Adventure of Mickey Matson.

2.) When Family Is inadvertently Unsupportive To Homeschooling

The very first non-diary style post that I wrote, it was also one of my most well received.  It took on the topic of what happens when family members you think are very supportive of your homeschool ventures says or does something that reflects the opposite.

This tongue in cheek contribution for the 5 Days of Homeschool Blog Hop tops our list of most read postings for 2015.  Some agreed wholeheartedly with what I wrote, others vehemently disagreed and some found it mean spirited towards Public Schools,

There you have it, the Top 10 for 2015.  Thank YOU for reading the drivel that I write, it means so much.
